TWC is an authentic community of believers gathering together in weekly assembly to worship. We are a people striving to give like Jesus through our time, talents, and treasures. We are committed to growth and change through Christ. Because of our love for God, we are compelled to go share the great news of Jesus Christ.
In 2011, God stirred in Ed and Emily Love to plant a church in Ionia, MI. The Love family connected to a small group of adventurous people who also had a passion for reaching Ionia. After studying John 4, the group decided that the name of this new church would be The Well. In the fall of 2011 TWC began meeting, praying, and studying God’s word. In November of 2012 the former First Baptist Church of Ionia gave their facility to TWC, and the first worship service in the new space was held on Dec. 23rd, 2012.
In the summer of 2016, Ed was called to take his influence in the church plant movement to a national level for the Wesleyan Church of North America. At the same time, Joel Leipprandt, who was serving as a pastoral intern became the Lead Pastor at TWC. In the Spring of 2020, Joel was called to pastor in Traverse City.
In February of 2021, Joshua Cahill was called to become the Lead Pastor at TWC. Joshua and Briana Cahill bring a wealth of ministry background, and they have a passion to see the Lord bring revival to Ionia. Joshua’s heart is to help connect people to God through everyday moments of life.
